Responsibilities
Each member is responsible for the maintenance and repair of their suite’s interior, including décor, accessible fixtures, and fittings. Any repairs related to the building exterior, structural components, or systems located within the walls or beneath the floors are handled by the Co-operative. These shared building maintenance costs are collectively covered by all members as part of our senior equity co-op housing model in West Vancouver.
To protect their personal belongings and ensure appropriate personal liability coverage, all members are required to maintain their own insurance policy. This is an important part of living in a senior equity co-op community and helps safeguard each member’s home within Ambleview Place.
Prospective members are encouraged to carefully review the Occupancy Agreement, Co-op Rules, and all relevant information provided in the Ambleview Place Housing Co-operative Handbook before purchasing a share. Understanding how our 60+ senior equity co-op operates ensures a smooth transition into our West Vancouver community.
For those who drive, secure on-site parking spaces are available. Each suite also includes a private storage locker and an assigned garage parking space, offering added convenience for residents.
Please note that Ambleview Place is a smoke-free senior living community. Smoking is not permitted anywhere inside the building or on the grounds. In addition, pets are not allowed, ensuring a quiet and allergy-sensitive environment for all members.
